Origin of the name "Tyr"

Tyr (pronounced "teer") was the god of Law and Justice in ancient Norse mythology. He was associated with justice and governance, as well as the formalities of war (e.g. treaties, contracts and oaths). Tyr was known for his bravery and by legend sacrificed one of his hands to uphold the law and protect his people. Tyr also served as inspiration for a weekday, as over time "Tyr's Day" became "Tuesday".

The decision to name the firm Tyr, rather than using the names of the firm's founding partners, reflects the firm's collaborative and team-oriented approach, as well as its commitment to the principles of justice and the rule of law.
